# What you can ask O

> Everything you can ask O to do, with an example you can copy for each.

You can ask O in your own words, or start with a command from the `/` menu. Each section below lists what O can do, an example to copy, and the command if there is one. Swap the bracketed parts for your own, and type `@` to pick the exact person, company or Circle.

For tips on phrasing, see [How to ask O](https://docs.sumbios.ai/getting-started/how-to-ask.md).

## People and companies

| What you can do | Ask like this | Command |
| - | - | - |
| Find people in your network by role, company, skill, location, country, school, industry, language or certification | *Find product leaders in Amsterdam who used to work at @\[company].* | `/people` |
| Find people by seniority, by whether they make decisions or manage a team, or by whether they're open to work | *Which senior decision-makers do I know in fintech?* | `/people` |
| Find people by when you connected or how many connections they have | *Who did I connect with this year?* | `/people` |
| Look up one person | *Tell me about @\[person]: what they do now and what we have in common.* | `/person` |
| Find companies by name or industry, by where they're based, and sort them by size, growth, hiring or how many people you know there | *Which fintech companies based in the Nordics do I know the most people at?* | `/company` |
| Get a briefing on one company | *Give me a briefing on @\[company].* | `/company-info` |
| See a company's leaders, current team and former team | *Who is on the leadership team at @\[company], and who has left in the last year?* | |
| See confirmed changes of role or company among your contacts | *Who in my network has changed role or company this month?* | |

## Your relationships

| What you can do | Ask like this | Command |
| - | - | - |
| Find the best person to introduce you to someone | *What is the best person to introduce me to @\[person]?* | `/intro` |
| Find people in your network who should meet each other | *Which people in my network should meet each other? Look for skills that fit together.* | `/matches` |
| Draft an introduction between two people | *Draft an introduction between @\[person] and @\[person] about \[purpose].* | `/intro-draft` |
| Find people to get back in touch with | *Who in my network should I reconnect with?* | |
| See your history with someone: emails, meetings, messages, notes and reminders | *Show me my history with @\[person].* | |
| See how much O can tell about your relationship with someone | *How well do I know @\[person], based on what you can see?* | |
| Find people who may know each other without you knowing | *Who in my network might know each other?* | |

How well you know someone is O's reading of the evidence it has: shared employers, schools, skills, mutual connections, messages, emails, meetings, notes and how recent they are. It doesn't measure trust, or whether someone would be willing to help.

## Your messages, calendar, notes and documents

| What you can do | Ask like this | Command |
| - | - | - |
| Search your email, calendar events and LinkedIn messages, by person, company or date | *What did @\[person] and I talk about in September?* | `/content` |
| See what's in your calendar, with whom | *What meetings do I have next week, and with whom?* | |
| Search your notes about a person, company or topic | *What have I written about @\[company]?* | `/note` |
| Add a note to a person or company | *Add a note to @\[person]: met at the summit, interested in a pilot.* | |
| Search the documents you've added | *What does my document on pricing say about discounts?* | `/memory` |
| Ask questions about a spreadsheet you've added: counts, totals, averages, filters and groups | *In my spreadsheet of deals, how many are over 100,000, by country?* | `/memory` |
| See which accounts you've connected | *Which accounts have I connected?* | `/list-integrations` |

When O finds the right email or message, ask it to read the full text if you need the details.

## Your network as a whole

| What you can do | Ask like this | Command |

| Research a person or company in depth | *Research @\[company]: funding, leadership and recent news.* | `/research` |
| Get the news about a company or topic | *What's in the news about @\[company] this week?* | `/news` |

O only searches the web when you ask it to.

## Drafts, sending and reminders

| What you can do | Ask like this | Command |

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Nothing goes out without you.** Before O sends an email or a WhatsApp message, or books a meeting, it shows you exactly what will go out and waits for you to confirm. Booking a meeting doesn't check whether people are free. Keeping an eye on a topic needs **Follow-up updates** turned on; see [Proactive follow-ups](https://docs.sumbios.ai/settings/chat.md#proactive-follow-ups).

## Good to know

* O works with what you've connected and added. If an account isn't connected, or a profile doesn't list something, O can't see it.
* A missing detail is unknown, not false. Profiles and company details can be out of date.
* One answer can only list so many people. If you need more, split the question.
