# Notifications

> Catch up on updates waiting for you in O.

Open a notification to see the conversation, item, or page it refers to, then decide whether you want to follow up.

## Where to find it

Select Notifications in the sidebar, then choose the Notifications tab.

## What you can do

* Open a notification to visit its related item.
* Use a notification’s menu to mark it or manage it, when those options are shown.

## How to use it

* Read the related item before responding so you know what the update is about.
* If you are expecting an update that is not listed, check the relevant page directly.

  **Availability and privacy.** Not everything that happens in O creates a notification. This list helps you catch up on updates, but it is not a complete history of activity.
