# Manage a conversation

> A conversation shows messages and participants.

The available menu depends on the conversation type.

## Where to find it

Choose Chat on the relevant member or item, or open the conversation from the list when available.

## What you can do

* Review participants before sending a message.
* Write in the message box, then send when you are ready.
* Open conversation actions to manage or leave the conversation when offered.

## How to use it

* Keep the conversation focused on its shared purpose.
* Check recipient names when opening a group conversation.
* Use Notifications for updates and return to the conversation to respond.

  **Availability and privacy.** Messages are shared with the people in the conversation. Keep personal notes in Notes, and use Home to ask O for private assistance.
