# Explore your Network map

> Explore who you know and how your connections relate to one another.

Use the map for a visual overview, or switch to a list to find and review individual members.

## Where to find it

Select Network in the sidebar. Use the map/list and view controls in the page toolbar.

## What you can do

* Use the view buttons to switch between the map and a list of members.
* Search for a member or another item, such as a company.
* Choose your own network, networks shared by friends, or both. Select the friends you want to include.
* Select a member or item to see its details. Use the import and summary options when they are available.
* Try the map’s view, filter, and layout options to focus on the connections you want to explore.

## How to use it

* First, choose which networks to include. Adding or removing a friend’s network changes the connections you see.
* Choose a dot on the map to open the member or item it represents.
* If you cannot find someone, try clearing your search and filters.
* Use list view for precise searching and map view for visual exploration.

<Note>
  **Availability and privacy.** The map only shows connections O has information about. Where a member appears, the lines between members, and their colors do not tell you how much people trust each other or whether they are willing to help.
