# Export or delete a Circle

> Circle actions include export where enabled and a delete action with a confirmation prompt.

## Where to find it

Open the owned Circle’s action menu from the Circles list or detail page.

## What you can do

* Choose Export to download the circle data offered by the page.
* Choose Delete to open the confirmation.
* Cancel if you have selected the wrong Circle or its contents are not what you intended.

## How to use it

* Review the export contents and store the downloaded file appropriately.
* Before deletion, confirm the circle name and consider whether you need its details.
* Confirm deletion only when you intend to remove the circle.

<Note>
  **Availability and privacy.** Export can contain member information; protect the file. Deletion removes the circle and is not an archive action. Shared circles do not expose owner-only actions.
