# Circles

> Keep groups of members together for a purpose that matters to you, such as a project or a shared interest.

Browse your Circles, see who is in each one, and check which ones have been shared with you.

## Where to find it

Select Circles in the sidebar.

## What you can do

* Choose New/Create to start a Circle for members you want to keep together.
* Choose a Circle to explore its members, or select Open from its menu.
* Use Edit to change a circle you own.
* Use Delete to remove a circle you own after reviewing the confirmation.
* Open the circle’s Chat action where available.

## How to use it

* Use the search/filter controls to narrow the circle list.
* Look for the private and shared labels so you know who can see the Circle.
* Use the card menu rather than selecting the card when you intend to edit or delete.

<Note>
  **Availability and privacy.** Shared circles are not editable by recipients from the owner-only menu. Deletion is destructive; confirm the circle name and contents first.
