# Home

> Ask O about someone in your network, prepare for a conversation, or think through your next step.

When O creates a list or document, you can open it beside the conversation.

## Where to find it

Choose Home in the application sidebar.

## What you can do

* Choose New chat when you want to start fresh.
* Choose History to pick up an earlier conversation.
* Type what you would like help with, then send your message.
* Open a list or document from O’s answer to explore it beside the chat. On a larger screen, drag the divider to give either side more room.

## How to use it

* Tell O what you are trying to do. A name, a little background, or a specific question helps.
* Read the answer and check its sources before relying on important details.
* If the answer includes a list or document, select it to take a closer look.
* Start a new chat when you want to explore a different topic without carrying over the earlier conversation.

## Find your way around

The side menu takes you to the pages available to you. Use Network to explore your members or Notes to keep something you want to remember. The menu button at the top opens or closes the navigation.

## Know where you are

The page path at the top shows where you are in O. On deeper pages, choose an earlier part of the path to go back to that section. Here, you are on Home.

## Search across O

Looking for a member, company, or note? Choose Search in the top bar, enter a name or a few words, and open a result. Search only shows information you are allowed to access.

## Make O your own

Open your account menu, then choose Settings to adjust how O looks, review your goals, or connect an account. You can come back whenever your preferences change.

## Explore an answer

When O’s answer includes a list or document, select it to take a closer look. On a larger screen, it opens beside the conversation. Check important details and sources. A draft is not sent to anyone unless you choose a separate sending action.

## Ask O to keep an eye on something

Tell O what to follow, in your own words:

> Keep an eye on Acme's launch.

O follows the topic and shares an update when there is new information. To stop:

> Stop tracking Acme's launch.

Updates need **Follow-up updates** turned on. See [Proactive follow-ups](/settings/chat#proactive-follow-ups).

  **Availability and privacy.** O works with the information and features available to your account and can make mistakes. Check important facts. Writing a draft here does not send it to anyone; sending is a separate action you choose.
