# Search for companies

> Look for a company by name, industry, website address, or location.

Results can include its website, size, headquarters, and whether it already appears in your network.

## Where to find it

Select Discovery, then choose Companies search mode/tab.

## What you can do

* Enter a company name or use the filters to describe the kind of company you are looking for.
* Open the company’s website or profile to take a closer look, when a link is available.
* Choose Add to bring a company into your network, then review the confirmation.
* Use Search history to reopen or remove a previous company search.

## How to use it

* Add a website address or location if several companies have similar names.
* Check the company website and profile before adding it.
* Before confirming, check which company you are adding and what the action will do.

  **Availability and privacy.** Company searches use credits. Search services differ in the companies and details they can find. Check the original website or profile for current information.
